Job Title: Software Programmer/Systems Administrator
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Minimum Government Security Clearance Required: DoD Secret (active)
Program: In 1982, Congress through the Small Business Innovation Development Act, established the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program to foster the involvement of U.S. based small businesses in federal research and development (R&D). The SBIR program is designed to increase the participation of small, high technology firms in the federal R&D endeavor.
Description: Provide support and conduct the day-to-day efforts required. Support Army SBIR PMO efforts to develop a collaborative working environment including, but not necessarily limited to, identifying organizational program requirements, integrating requirements into program implementation tasks and providing support in coordinating program management, communication, and execution of tasks. Provide necessary assistance and support to the accomplishment of the SBIR mission.
Qualifications: The Junior Programmer/Systems Administrator shall be a professional with a technical degree and at least three (3) years of relevant and recent experience in application development and application architecture, and IT systems support. Proficient in C# and VB.net, and an understanding of Virtual Studio 2008. Proficient in SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining office computer, network, phone software/hardware.
Ideal candidate will have progressive experience with the administration/configuration/maintenance of the following:
- Server 2008
- Printer Support (Lexmark Multi-function)
- Active Directory
- MS SQL
- Network & Firewall experience highly desirable.
Required Certifications: (Qualified candidates who may not have these certs will still be considered but they MUST obtain it within 60 days of employment start date).
- DoD 8570 compliant
- Windows 7
- Comptia Security +
- Windows Server 2008 (70-646)
Shall have proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining standard office computer, network, and phone software and hardware. Perform basic computer IT troubleshooting and helpdesk items. Be able to help with switches and routers.
