Project Manager Close Combat Systems (PM CCS) is the segment of the U.S. Army that trains and equips our Soldiers. PM CCS supports Warfighters by providing world-class explosive hazard detection and defeat, assured mobility, force protection and close combat munitions with mission areas in networked munitions, non-lethal ammunition & systems, pyrotechnics, shoulder-launched munitions and counter explosive hazards. In order to develop and field equipment that addresses Warfighter needs, PM CCS has established relationships with many organizations including the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense and the Program Executive Officer Aviation.
USI provides contractor logistics support for the entire family of PM CCS Systems, including Culvert Denial, Entry Control Point, Fido, Home Station Training Lanes, Jackal, Lightguard, Rhino, Schonstedt, Sherlock, Spider, Husky Mounted Detection System (including Surrogate), Gizmo, the Minehound, and the AN/PSS-14. To support PM CCS’s requirement, USI personnel are experienced in system integration/installation, fielding, retrograde, inspection and maintenance, training and program management. Personnel conduct operator training, maintenance training, Train-the-Trainer and key leader level training in to include testing operators using task, conditions and standards.
