This appraisal was performed by Williamsburg Process Solutions, LLC and resulted in USI’s Web Development Programs Unit obtaining a Level 3 rating in CMMI for Development.
“Earning our CMMI® Level 3 Development signifies yet another major milestone that demonstrates USI’s commitment to providing our customers with software development services of the highest quality” said CEO Daniel Wolfe.
CMMI is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance and ensure repeatability. The CMMI-DEV model further provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for developing products and services that meet the needs of customers and end users. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
USI has been appraised at Capability Level 3 in DOD Development Programs in the following process areas: Requirements Development, Technical Solution, Product Integration, Verification, Validation, Organizational Process Focus, Organizational Performance Management, Organizational Training, Integrated Project Management, Risk Management, and Decision Analysis and Resolution. USI also holds the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
